Kenya’s Imperial Bank enters Uganda market

Kenyan Imperial Bank has now ventured into the Uganda market, opening up its first regional subsidiary in Kampala. Imperial bank has been in operation in Kenya since 1993 first as a financial institution and later converting into a fully fledged bank in 1996 and currently operates a 15 branch network across major towns and cities in Kenya. The bank has partnered with leading FMCG manufacturer Mukwano industries for the Uganda operation.

Imperial Bank’s chairman Mr.Alnasir Popat noted that Imperial Bank is now on an expansion strategy and is bringing premium customer services closer to its customers in Uganda. The bank’s first branch is located on plot 6, Hannington road, Kampala.
